TRACES, 2024 AND ON GOING
Traces is a photographic series that explores the intangible moments in life—specifically within relationships, left as marks to be found in the world. It is to stamp the presence of something untouchable into something that is firm and everlasting. What is etched into trees, metal, or other parts of public landscapes shares with us all the significance of a personal relationship which existed at one point in time, if not still in the constant of life. Out of something private, into something to be learned by the public. The certainty of the bond becomes validated forever by etching words of commitment that would survive a lifetime until otherwise moved.
